I had a bird laying its nest at my front door arch every year. The droppings were all over the steps all spring long. Finally this year I had enough and bought these thinking it was the cheapest trial to deterring the birds. From the day I hung these up not one bird has landed on my front steps. They made a nest in a tree on the side of the house so I'm happy nothing was harmed and these reflective swirls did their job. They've been up for about 3 months now, I will take them down and rehang them next year.I am still investigating the deterence factor of these repellents that are hanging from my blackberry bushes. I did notice a bird on one of the branches, but also know there was no fruit available. I will try again next growing season. The devices do look great in my garden with the sun reflecting off the surface; a beautiful sight to behold.to stop birds from getting on our front porch over hang and pooping on steps but looks good but did not scared birds awayI have not installed them to see what the birds think of them. I certainly do like them. Should they not perform well in preventing the birds from roosting on the porch furniture and leaving remainders of their visit I have other uses for them. I will order more and use then for holiday decorations during the season as trey appear to be extremely durable. . They will certainly make an attractive moving holiday display for years to come. No batteries needed.It didn't workUPDATE: Well, my previous 5-Star rating is now changed to 1 Star. While the bird diverters did, in fact, serve their purpose, they unfortunately did not last. One by one, the flexible strings tying them to my lanai railing were broken, by flapping in the trade winds., and the silver diverters, as light as they are, were blown away to Heaven only knows where!! So now I have ZERO diverters remaining, and the birds are back, once again pooping at their pleasure. I simply cannot recommend a product as flimsy as this.Absolutely works! I live on the sixth floor of a downtown Honolulu high-rise. My lanai was constantly under invasion by mynah birds and doves, resulting in non-stop droppings. Since hanging up all ten bird diverters, i have not had a single winged visitor, and my lanai is free from bird doo-doo! Highly recommended - this is a great product!With the shine and the movement of these icicle-like deterrents the birds kept their distance. So glad I used them.I was so tired of birds pooping all over my patio furniture. This product really did the job. No more mess and they are actually quite nice to look at. Very satisfied. Told many others to get them.I kept adding more onto the honey berry bush when some birds would start to sneak in. At first it kept most of the invaders out but eventually as new species (cedar wax wings) came in the others tended to join in. Seems like it worked for about half our bushes but not all. Almost no effect on our saskatoon bushes unfortunately. Must be hungry birds.NO COMPREN ESTA BASURA! Dont buy this!
