I’m happy to be able to put another 11 lbs of black oil sunflower outside at almost $30 a bag these days. The feeder really is built very nice and was easy to pole mount as I had one previously on the bird feeder it replaced. Only criticism is that it needs a good waterproofer. Other then that birds love it. A few chipmunks as well- I do not discriminate based on wings.I have been feeding birds for years and I’ve purchased many many bird houses it’s nice to see that there is a company out there that still believes in producing a product of quality. I will buy from woodlink again and again.My squirrels and birds love it. It holds 7#'s of seeds. It is amazingBigger than expectedI recommend this product!! It is sturdy and comes with plexiglass sides that can be taken out. I took them out because I felt the tray wasn’t big enough for larger birds. I will propitious them back in when the snow fly’s. Highly recommend!!!I was pleased with the quality of this feeder. It's the right size (so many feeders are too small) and it's constructed well.High quality American made cedar. Looks great in my back yard and holds tons of seed. Check dimensions first, it's big! Highly recommend if you're looking for a large feeder. Buy the mount from Woodlink, it's sturdy and also good quality.Large! Exactly what I was looking for! We have several doves that come for food and we needed a larger feeder to accommodate them. :)This bird feeder is not well built, at least the lid. Screws are missing and the screws are not screwed in all the way. So the lid is loose and seems flimsy.Yes the wood in kiln dried 7/8 but what they don't say is its balsa wood, very cheap. Balsa will never hold up with a lot of rain, snow and bad weather we have in Canada.The other complaint is that the product card was stuck to one of the plastic windows and the glue will not come off even after using muriatic acid which removes everything. You can scrape it off with a knife but it will scratch the plastic.I'm returning it.We were very disappointed to see that one of the two roof pieces had clearly broken off at the manufacture and was fixed with wood putty. As shown on pictures, the putty did not take the wood stain that we applied. The fact that Woodlink has knowingly shipped this obviously "repaired" bird feeder is beyond me!We know we could have returned the feeder but all the work (staining and exterior finish) to make it look nice and more durable would have had to be redone...
