I needed a covered water bowl for my African Grey. Did not expect this to hold up as well as it has against their destructive instincts, being plastic. But she likes it and does not destroy it, so small victories! It hung up easily inside her cage above the poo & seed flinging zone. The downside is, it's too small and awkwardly shaped so it's not super easy to clean or see inside of. It gets slimy if it isn't regularly cleaned (which of course you should be doing anyway, but slime is UGH). I wish it was larger, easier to get a full hand into for cleaning, with a larger hood/door. Finding things that work for large parrots is just a chore... but this does the job.Took our birds about an hour to get used to these things and now are used to feeding from them. We purchased two medium ones for the food and one small for water. These reduce a lot of wasted food, are each to clean and strong enough for our cockatiels to sit on them sometimes.I went through many other options in trying to find feeders for this cage/bird. She would flip over her metal bowls that were hung from the sides. If we put them directly on the floor, of course she pooped in them and got seeds in the water. These are great. They can’t be flipped over or ripped from the side of the cage, and they’re covered to keep the food & water clean. This is the small size, which is just right for 1 parakeet and a small cage like ours.Sturdy water dispenser. Easy to remove and clean. Plus they can’t poop in it. I was using a feeding cup prior to this and found poop in it and I just had to fix that problem for Chicken and Little Lady. They adapted well to their new water supply. Very happy with purchase. My birds love these feeders, it’s their favorite perch whether it’s cause they actually like them or because they knows it’s where the food is. Reduces the mess of seeds by so much, super easy to detach and clean. So easy to use/fill/clean. You can have multiple feeders for reg seed, millet, fresh fruit, etc. Each bird can have its own station to avoid fighting. LOVE it!I use this for two teaspoons of Grouts, for my little birdies...they love it! ❤️Perfect size for my Parekeet cages. I had to go out of town, so I put additional bird food in each cage. You can also use for additional water dishes as well.I bought a small one first and it was so successful that I bought the larger one too, and it won’t be the last. This is for a Parrot who thinks her drinking water is a dumping ground for everything, then jumps in to have a shower too! She then started rolling in her pellet dish sending the pellets scattering all over. I was on dishes duty all day long changing and cleaning the stainless steel dishes. Now, with these new dishes it doesn’t happen, yippee. I thought at first she would be scared of them but it is working so well. Well done to the person who designed them, and thank you for quick delivery and service.Bought for my canary - she enjoys it - this small size includes a perching area ( I don’t think the size up one does)The mechanism to ‘fix’ the cup to the holder is a bit too stiff to use but I don’t find it necessary to use it, I just place the cup on there and don’t actually need to swivel it to secure. So far I’ve only used it for seedThis company has had business from us for years and are great however our parrot destroyed this item in minutes. I cannot understand why it is so hard to buy an internally mounted unit that does not connect with a plastic screw and is not so cheap and nasty. Metal would be great with a screw on top and cage connection not this waste of money five minute wonder. My little budgie is very nervous of the bottom of his cage and wasn’t eating after the death of his budgie friend. These were a saviour as I installed them high in his cage and he loves them! This is by far the best bird feeders I have found. The pot is a little bit small, even for food. Especially if you have more than one budgie using it. The product is much better quality than some feeders you see in pet shops, however I still feel some of the plastic is a little bit flimsy. I haven't used the feeder much, as to remove the food pot you have to put your hand in the cage (it is easy to remove), and my budgies are very frightened of our hands at the moment. I would recommend this product.
