This is the magical ingredient when making my favorite Canadian dessert Nanaimo Bars, nothing else will do. Hard to find in the US, not sold in most grocery stores. I didn't realize that these tins were twice the size of the one I usually get, so this was quite a bargain. The only problem was there is no expiry date on either one of the tins.It taste great, just add a little vanilla extract your milk and you’re all set(some sugar also) enjoy.On any fruit pie, sliced bananas, fruit cake even. Its the best. Have loved it since childhood and I am now in my 70's.Real taste of British deserts.Love this product. My only ‘complaint’ is that the use by date was only two months after the date of purchase.This was an awesome deal! I have a recipe for Nanaimo Squares that I have used for decades, and Bird's is the only custard powder I will use. No Bird's? No squares! It is the best and this was an excellent buy.
